Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently midway through the four-year agreement he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the initial important achievement of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he once was, and would definitely consider prolonging his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy wait, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
